Like Ragweed ( Of “Adventures with Ragweed”), author Linda Lou Crosby loves gardens and gardening. In fact, it might be hard for her to resist planting a couple of seeds anywhere they might grow. I am Linda Lou’s daughter, Carey, the designated blogger, and I am looking forward to sharing garden stories and adventures with you. One garden our family likes to visit is the Descanso Gardens in La Canada, CA. During the harvest season, the Gardens are filled with pumpkins of various sizes and shapes in addition to the amazing assortment of plants that are grown there. Another place we have visited together is the UC Irvine campus where my daughter was going to school at the time. The campus has very lush and beautiful landscaping, and as we walked around, Mom was identifying the flora– “that looks like some Jasmine, that might be…”and so on. But, she refrained from planting anything that day–gratefully! We would love for you to share your garden adventures with us–your pictures or stories, or both. We will choose some of them to feature in this blog.
